Insomniac’s Electric Daisy Carnival is one of the most highly anticipated festivals in the EDM community. EDC Las Vegas is just one more thing to add to the craziness of Las Vegas itself. With over 300,000 ravers from all over the country congregating in the Las Vegas Motor Speedway to see every DJ that comes to mind and raving from dusk til dawn, survival tips are crucial when preparing for this unforgettable weekend.

1. Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate.

Now for you festivalgoers out there, this is something you may already know is crucial. While dancing for hours on end in one of the hottest places a festival takes place, it is absolutely necessary to take as many water breaks as possible. With all the chaos that EDC has to offer it can be very easy to get distracted and forget about water breaks. Remember to pace yourself, EDC is a three-day event and taking a water break here and there can only do you good and no harm.

2. Grub when grubbing is possible.

Dancing for almost 12 hours til the sun comes up can take a lot out of a person. You will no doubt be burning thousands of calories while enjoy this unforgettable weekend. The food at the speedway isn’t half bad so it’s important to carbo-load as much as possible when you get the chance.

3. Make a plan

We all know that festival plans never actually go according to planned but with so many amazing DJs to see it’s probably best you make a tentative schedule to go off of. I mean how lame would it be if you missed a set you have been dying to see? When mapping out your day, make sure to add in the time you need to squeeze through the crowd. The speedway is big venues so make sure you have time to get from point A to point B.

4. Make time for the “Carnival” in “Electric Daisy Carnival”

You may be thinking that the festival is all about the music and indeed it is all about the music, but why not enhance the music by enjoying all the EDC has to offer? Although the lines can sometimes be long, taking a ride on the ferris wheel and seeing the festival at a birds-eye view is so worth it. Art installations make for excellent photo-ops and the fun houses are good for passing the time until the next set on your schedule comes up or for just taking a little rest.

5. Enjoy every second of the weekend. Live it to the fullest.

We are all aware of how fast the last day of a festival can creep up to you and frankly we are all aware of how bad it sucks when you realize you only have one day left. EDC is a once in a lifetime experience, which makes it absolutely crucial you enjoy every second of it. Dress up, dance like there is no tomorrow, and take in everything that EDC has to offer. Another awesome thing about EDC is the people. There is nothing better than meeting the people around you who share the love you have for EDM.

These are just a few little reminders and tips to make sure that your EDC experience if unforgettable. Get ready for the best weekend of your life and remember that every festival experience has little bumps in the road but in the end the festival is so mind blowing they don’t even matter in the long run.
